Apple to hold a Peek Performance event on March 8

Apple announced its next event on March 8th, with an invitation that includes the "Peek Performance" logo and the company's multicolored logo that can hint at the colors of the new devices.

The event is online, and is broadcast from Apple Park. Anyone can view it from the company's website.

The company did not reveal more details about the consequences of the virtual event, beyond the timing set at 9:00 pm on Thursday, Saudi Arabia time. But rumors say that the company has a lot of devices that may be announced this year.

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gorman, who is often a reliable source for Apple rumors, speculates that the company may announce the low-cost iPhone SE.

Gorman suggests that the new device arrives with support for 5G networks, a faster A15 CPU and better cameras.

However, it shares the same design as the current iPhone SE, which means that the new SE may also retain Touch ID.

Apple may announce a new iPhone SE

At the same time, Gorman also hypothesizes that the company may announce the latest version of the iPad Air. The new tablet is expected to come with a new CPU and support for 5G networks for cellular models.

Gorman also speculates that the company could also roll out the new iOS 15.4 update, which makes it possible to unlock iPhones and iPads with Face ID while wearing a face mask.

Universal Control is also expected to debut with the new update. This means that users can use a single keyboard and mouse across multiple iPads and Macs.

It is reported that the company has updated its entire Mac lineup to replace Intel processors with its own. Another Mac with Apple-designed chips is rumored to arrive in March. But this device may not be announced in this specific event.

We also likely won't see the new iPhone 14, AirPods, Apple Watch, MacBook Air, iMac and Mac Pro models rumored to be released later in 2022.
