The Cuban Health Ministry reported on Saturday 3,475 new cases of corona in the past 24 hours, the highest daily infection rate in the country since the beginning of the epidemic, bringing the total number of cases to 7,728.
According to data posted on the Ministry's website, 15 new deaths were recorded during the same period, bringing the total death toll to 1,337.
Cuba plans to vaccinate its entire population this year. Currently, of the 11 million people, 1.25 million have been fully vaccinated using local vaccines.
