Design a laptop with a detachable smartphone

A Chinese company has designed a new computer with unique features and an unparalleled design, as it comes with a built-in smartphone that can be detached when needed, and connects again to turn into a trackpad.

The phone has a rotating screen that allows it to not only expand, but also fold, transforming into a mouse, and if that's not enough, the empty laptop docking area acts as a wireless charging area for items like AirPods. And it's possible that the iPhone Book AIO, even as a concept, is an achievement.

The device is designed by Kylin Wu, an industrial designer in Shenzhen, winner of the Spark Design Award. Objectively speaking, without looking at what laptops have been like over the past decade, AIO makes a pretty common note. The trackpad has a touch-sensitive surface, as does the phone. So why can't they both exist together as one device? The iPhoneBook AIO comes with a smartphone that sits on the keyboard, with a screen that acts as a trackpad + a small tablet computer. When held in place, the smartphone acts as an assistant device for your laptop, allowing you to use its screen as a number pad, control center, and trackpad. Unplug it, and you get a smartphone that can be used independently as its own device, or as a mouse for your laptop.

The smartphone comes with an enlarged design, made possible by the rotating screen and a unique flexible hinge that allows the phone to stretch and bend. While the smartphone is undocked, the free space on the laptop serves as a platform to wirelessly charge other devices such as TWS earbuds. When you're done and want to dock your phone again, it snaps into place and the connection points at the top and bottom of the phone connect it to your laptop, allowing it to charge (plus you can send and receive files).
