For his part, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused Turkey of providing military support to Azerbaijan, stressing the presence of Turkish military officials in Azerbaijan to direct the ongoing military operations in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

He called on the international community to denounce what he described as the aggression of Turkey and Azerbaijan, noting that this threatens the existence of the Armenian people, he said.

Refusal to negotiate

Regarding his position on negotiation, the Armenian prime minister said that his country is not ready to negotiate with Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh under Russian auspices.

Pashinyan considered that, in the midst of the violent battles taking place on the frontlines, talking about holding any tripartite meeting regarding the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh is not appropriate, noting the need for appropriate conditions and conditions to conduct any negotiations, and that his country has always been ready for a peaceful solution. conflict in the disputed territory.

On the other hand, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev denied any possibility of holding talks with Armenia regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh region, and described the Armenian demands as unacceptable.

He also denied the Turkish F-16 fighters in the battles of the region, and denied the presence of Syrian fighters there.

The Turkish Foreign Minister - in an interview with Anadolu Agency - renewed his country's full support for Azerbaijan, whether at the negotiating table or on the battlefield.

He went on to say, "If the issue is to be resolved diplomatically, we will defend and continue to defend Azerbaijan's rights at the negotiating table, and if it wants to resolve the issue on the ground, we will stand with all our capabilities by its side and we will do what is necessary if Azerbaijan makes any request in this regard, but we see now She has the power to do this on her own."

The Turkish minister stressed that Armenia would not have dared to do so had it not received support from Western countries and Russia.

Russian objection

On the other hand, Russia said that it does not support Turkey's position, which was expressed by its Foreign Minister, Cavusoglu, regarding Ankara's willingness to support Azerbaijan in the conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh through diplomatic and military means.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow does not support these statements, and renews its calls to avoid adding fuel to the fire in this conflict, as he put it.

Peskov renewed his country's call on all regional countries to exercise restraint, and on both sides of the Karabakh conflict, to an immediate cessation of hostilities.

In turn, French President Emmanuel Macron said, "Turkey is practicing propaganda for Azerbaijan that is fond of war, and is removing any obstacles in front of it to what he described as the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh again," stressing that his country would not accept that.

However, Macron added that he had no evidence at the current stage of a direct Turkish presence. He said at a press conference in Latvia that he had spoken to the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia and called on them to cease fire, and indicated that he would discuss the issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump.

Iranian mediation

In a phone call, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani discussed with the Armenian Prime Minister the tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Rouhani said that the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan is not a solution, and it will complicate the existing problem between them, stressing that the solution to the dispute between Baku and Yerevan must be done through dialogue, and any external interference will increase the tension.

The Iranian president expressed his willingness to play a constructive role in reducing the crisis.

The Iranian presidency website quoted the Armenian Prime Minister as welcoming any initiative to stop the violence, warning against any foreign interference in the conflict.
