Apple unveiled its new phone (iPhone 13) and a new mini version of its tablet (iPad), expanding its reach with 5G networks, faster chip displays and brighter and more accurate cameras without increasing the phone's price.
Reuters reported that Apple did not announce any popular features or products, but analysts predicted that customers sticking to older models such as the iPhone 10 would be eager to buy the newer iPhone 13 model through incentives.
Apple said that the new iPhone 13 will have fifth-generation antennas and wireless chips for faster speeds and will come in five colors.
To encourage purchases of new devices, wireless companies will offer incentives ahead of the year-end holiday season, such as making new models available for free in exchange for returning old ones.

The iPhone 13 starts at $699, the iPhone 13 Pro starts at $999, and the Pro Max starts at $1,099.
The three models will be launched from September 24.
Prices are unchanged from last year, but some companies such as AT&T will offer the devices free of charge if customers return the previous devices and sign up for an installment scheme.
"Competitors are still trying to catch up with our chips — not just from last year, but even two years ago," said Kayanne Drance, Apple's iPhone marketing director.

Apple also updated its (iPad Mini) by connecting it to the fifth generation networks and redesigning it, making it look like the advanced iPad Air and Pro models.
Apple has also updated its basic tablet device (iPad), adding a new camera to it to make it easier to work and learn from home.

The most impressive of the products Apple announced today was the small tablet, said Bob O'Donnell, president of Technologies Research, a market research and technology consultancy, that could appeal to customers who want a 5G-enabled device that can handle more powerful apps than a phone.
"I don't think it replaces any other device, like we've seen Apple trying to put some of the larger iPads as an alternative to the PC," he added.
Apple shares fell 1.2%, a decline larger than the less severe decline in the broader markets.
